About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Group Junior Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our commercial analysis team, you will provide essential financial analysis and reporting to support senior and regional management in improving business performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, providing key insights to senior management.
* Monitor and report on stock performance, including inactive stock sell-through and stock-on-hand reports.
* E nsure accurate and timely updates on promotional pricing, discounts, and catalogue check reports.
* Collaborate with the Marketing Department to align promotional calendars and ensure effective communication across teams.
* Set up and maintain open-to-buy (OTB) reports for buyers and store sales budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Assist in stock management, including recalls, rebalancing, and reporting outstanding special orders.
* Contribute to the budgeting process by gathering inputs, validating data, and supporting the preparation of financial forecasts.
* Maintain and prepare various reports, including monthly YOY comparisons, discount reports, and price change reports.
Requirements
* 2+ years of experience in retail or a multi-site inventory-based business, with a strong understanding of commercial analysis.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL, Macros, SAP, and financial modelling techniques.
* Experience using Business Intelligence systems to extract, analyse, and present data.
* CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable, or equivalent financial certification.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Proven ability to effectively communicate complex data and insights to senior stakeholders.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to challenge existing processes and recommend improvements.
