Working within a team of professionals, the Principal Business Analyst will create and manage BI and analytics solutions within a Data Lakehouse that will be used to visualise information and support analytical needs in the various organisational areas within the Department.
The Principal Business Analyst Key Responsibilities Are: Perform a lead role as a business analyst in activities relating to the development, implementation and ongoing support of business intelligence solutions and a modern data platform. Take a proactive and self-sufficient approach in preparing quality written communications and documentation such as analysis requirements, presentations, and other relevant documentation. Conduct stakeholder analysis when engaging with stakeholders to effectively understand business functions and elicit, clarify, and analyse business requirements. Extract and document accurate, concise business and product requirements in a dynamic environment. Lead and mobilise workshops. Define, perform, and document analysis tasks. Execute the implementation of contemporary best practice frameworks, methodologies, tools, and processes consistently including the adoption of Agile and DevSecOps cultural practices and methodologies ensuring best practice in working with cloud environments. Work collaboratively within the team and across project and operational teams in an enterprise environment to identify, assess and control risks, issues, and opportunities. Monitor and review the risks, dependencies, resources and issues with stakeholders, managers, team leaders and members. Lead the planning, preparation of materials and delivery of consultation workshops as required for business requirements and stakeholder engagement. Contribute to the development of analytics policy, standards, and guidelines. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
