Locally Owned Business Williamson's FoodWorks has an exciting opportunity available for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. This hands-on role will be to help control and direct the efficient management of our supermarket.The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals by constantly reviewing our current processes to increase productivity.The successful applicant will play a pivotal role as a senior manager within our company. We believe in providing the best service to our customers and are seeking to employ an Assistant Store Manager with amazing people skills and operationally minded.Reporting to the Store Manager, the focus of this role is in business development, store presentation, stock management, administration, team member coaching and training, and most importantly customer service. The duties and responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to: Lead, coach, train, motivate and develop their team Set goals, budgets and manage time to achieve results within deadlines Meet sales targets, cost control and rostering Help drive sales and build the stores clientele Plan, order, and process products to maximise sales and gross profit Presentation, merchandising and stock management Control rotation of stock across the store Ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, rotation of merchandise and building of displays Building the business, minimising loss and maintaining accurate pricing Practise the companies Policies and Procedures and ensure all safety standards are adhered to including Food Safety processes Rostering of staff and maintain wage percentage at budgeted levels Maintaining vigilant control on stock quality with regards to shrinkage Adherence to Key Performance Indicators The ideal candidate will have the following: Previous supermarket operational Management experience is essential Experience in managing a team of people A sound knowledge of supermarket best practice Excellent Customer Service skills The ability to operate computing systems and software Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external customers Excellent organisational skills and strong problem solving ability Be physically capable of undertaking substantial lifting and being on your feet for long periods of time Attention to detail and problem solving ability Applicants will need to be willing and able to work a roster that may include a variety of shifts from early morning to afternoons over a 7-day period.
