Position: Cleaner/Patient Transport Assistant Grade 1-2 (IN18-IN19)

Department: Alfred Health Support Services provides non-clinical support services across Alfred Health, including cleaning services, car parking and fleet management, waste management, gardens and grounds, distribution, security and access control, ward support, linen services, ancillary services, food services, and hospitality.
The RoleThe Waste Collector will operate as part of the Alfred Health Support Services team and perform tasks as allocated within the position duty list.
The disposals attendant will ensure that all clinical and non-clinical waste/rubbish/linen is collected/removed from all areas across the site and taken to the relevant central disposals area for collection by external waste contractors.
The Waste Collector is responsible for providing and maintaining, as far as practical, the safe transfer of waste items within the Hospital.
This will be performed in a manner that meets or exceeds industry best practice.
The disposals attendant will work closely with other Support Services team members to ensure we maintain a committed, safe, and socially responsible multi-skilled team.
