About the role
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the Chef / Chef Manager and peers in delivering a high quality catering service within the home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring the catering service is adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
2. Completing all appropriate food safety record forms as per legislation requirements.
3. Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the Food Safety Program at all times.
4. Ensuring uniforms, appropriate protective clothing and footwear is worn whilst in the workplace.
5. Follow strategies in the Food Safety Plan to prevent cross contamination from occurring.
6. Prepare daily meals including beverages for residents that meet the special dietary requirements as instructed by the Chef Manager or Chef/Cook.
What you bring:
1. Follow Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate (Health Care Competencies).
2. Experience in a similar role in residential care, health care or hospitality sectors.
3. Knowledge and experience in safe food handling.
