About the role:
The purpose of this role is to assist with the implementation of the client's Data Strategy. Working within a team of business intelligence specialists, this role will develop, guide and support the Business Process Owners in their journey through the data maturity road map. Defining, documenting and developing the various artifacts and supporting technical solutions to bring rigor across the data management lifecycle. Future state will see this role supporting detailed analytics teams across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with change managers, business stakeholders and employees to build a people focused, high performing and innovative culture through designing and implementing key cultural initiatives.
2. Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
3. Lead the development and documentation of project related initiatives such as discussion papers, feasibility assessments, business case and business requirements documents.
4. Facilitate user group discussions to gather inputs and analyse end user requirements.
5. Collaboratively develop conceptual designs and functional specifications that document the desired solution behaviour.
6. Use your critical thinking to identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
7. Provide guidance and conduit support for business requirement gathering.
8. Assist with the implementation, rollout and management of the future data management tooling.
9. Understand the implications of data integrity and reporting as a result of upstream/ downstream changes including source systems and within the data platform ensuring risks are identified and mitigated
10. Collaboratively design and deliver commercially viable data solutions that will serve the needs of the business.
11. Providing thought leadership in both using data to solve business problems and in arriving at innovative technical solutions.
12. Contribute to the development of the team's analytical skills and expertise.
13. Supporting business transition and helping to establish change.
14. Cultivate open and clear communications across team members and stakeholders.
Technical Skills Requirement:
15. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
16. Experience gleaning and collating business requirements.
17. Strong knowledge and application of analysis techniques including process modelling, facilitation, gap analysis and data analysis.
18. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain complex and/or technical concepts to different audiences from executives to business stakeholders to change and project managers and technical teams.
19. Experienced in managing multiple projects and initiatives.
20. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
21. Experienced in working across a geographically dispersed; multi-regional experience preferred.
Qualifications & Experience
22. 5+ years of strong track record of Business Analyst experience.
23. A degree in IT, Statistics, Business or related field.
24. Proven high level negotiation, consultation facilitation and effective written and oral communications skills for use in a complex program/project environment.
25. Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail and a drive to deliver.
26. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels and across all disciplines, and especially with key project stakeholders to minimise potential disruptions to the business.
27. Flexibility and adaptability; able to work in ambiguous situations with resilience, tenacity and a propensity to persevere.
28. Maintain and move rapidly and seamlessly between 'big picture' vision and detail/tactical level work plans.
29. Must be team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
