Job Description
We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our Sydney-based team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will provide actuarial, analytical and technical support to the Actuarial Results team.
* Support the delivery of consolidated valuation results from Consumer, Commercial, Workers' Compensation and CTP;
* Monthly Actuarial Results including accounting journals for Finance;Quarterly and Annual APRA forms;Consolidated Actuarial Valuation Reports for AAIRisk Margin and Claims Handling Expense Reviews;
Actuarial, Analytical and Technical Support Includes:
* Data preparation, validation and analysis;
* Design or assessment of the reasonableness and suitability of models and results prepared;
* Documentation of processes, analysis and investigations undertaken;
* Preparation of reports to present results;
You'll Bring:
* Relevant degree in Statistics, Actuarial, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics and Computer Science related field – Mandatory;
* Progression through Part I and II Actuarial Exams – Desired;
* Knowledge of spreadsheet modelling (Excel) and data extraction (SQL or SAS) preferred;
* Strong analytical aptitude;
* Work as a team member and communicate effectively (oral & written);
* Can work independently/limited guidance to meet the deliverables;
