In this role, you'll:
You will support the Technical Director across the West region of NSW, managing essential technical projects within over 60% of the state’s geographical area. You’ll coordinate resources, oversee project development and delivery, and engage with clients and stakeholders on major regional initiatives, such as the Bells Line Road Safety Upgrade, Renewable Energy Zone Corridor Upgrade, and Inland Rail Interface Upgrade.
You’ll drive technical outcomes by planning resources, monitoring progress, and meeting time, cost, risk, and quality targets. Through regular project meetings and updates, you’ll foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring quality and value for each project.
You’ll also provide high-level technical input into contracts, assess contractor capability, and help deploy technical services to meet project specifications. By advising on resource use and developing professional networks, you’ll ensure projects align smoothly with scope, quality, and safety standards.
Fixed-term position until 30/12/2026 with possible extension. Role based on our West Region offices (Dubbo, Orange, Parkes, Grafton, Parramatta).
About you:
You have tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related field (essential), alongside a strong track record in technical project management. Your experience includes working on complex projects, building positive client relationships, and ensuring standards and budgets are met.
You’re skilled in resource planning and client engagement, with expertise in assessing contractor performance to meet technical requirements. Your ability to operate across diverse technical disciplines and deliver customer-focused solutions makes you a vital contributor to advancing regional projects in NSW.
