The Digital Health team is responsible for delivering the Digital Health Transformation Strategy, a 10-year program of work that aims to transform the state’s health system into a world-class, innovative and integrated system designed to empower consumers and enable healthcare professionals to deliver better patient outcomes through system-wide, digitally enabled technologies.
The Digital Health Transformation Program, including the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, is essential for efficient delivery of frontline health services into the future. The program aims to significantly enhance healthcare for all people in Tasmania by creating a more connected and accessible health system, ensuring that all Tasmanians receive the care they need, in the right place, at the right time, ultimately improving health outcomes across the state.
The Role:
This role will initially support the Clinical Engagement and Functional Design Workstream activities for the EMR project. Key duties will include:
* Information discovery, service profiling and process mapping
* Safety and quality analysis
* Tracking deliverables at project level and clinical site and services level
* Analysis of current state
* Project documentation and discreet pieces of work
* Future workflow design
* Testing to validate requirements and traceability
* Business requirements specification
* Executing allocated activities outlined in the Project Management Plan
* Engagement and presentations (prepare and present) to key stakeholders
* Coordination of activities with business stakeholders.
Position Features:
* From time to time the role will require travel between sites to meet with stakeholders face to face. This travel may extend to intrastate away from the usual appointed office space.
You will need:
* Highly developed business and systems analysis skills, including demonstrated experience in analysing business processes and thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
* Significant expertise in change management and benefits realisation together with high level skills and extensive experience in the analysis and implementation of business process improvements and change management.
* High level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the demonstrated ability to identify and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions in situations of differing interest.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until December 2026. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
