As an Oral Health Therapist, you will be integral to providing essential dental care with a focus on preventive and therapeutic services.You will work closely with a diverse group of patients, promoting oral health and providing treatment for a wide range of dental conditions.This role combines the skills of a dental hygienist and a dental therapist, offering an opportunity to work within both scopes of practice.Responsibilities: Conduct dental examinations and assess oral health conditions.Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.Perform clinical dental hygiene procedures such as scaling, root planning, and applying topical fluorides and sealants.Provide restorative dental treatments under the prescription of a dentist.Take and interpret dental radiographs.Using 3D scans of patients' teeth to create treatment plans and presenting these to our dental professionals for review.Conducting patient consultations and explaining the treatment process, including costs, timelines, and expected outcomes.Educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health.Maintain patient records with accurate documentation of treatments and care.Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive dental care.Assisting patients with payment and financial arrangements for their treatment.Performing general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and answering phone and email inquiries.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Oral Health or equivalent, recognized by the Australian Dental Council.Register with the Dental Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Proficient in using modern dental software and radiographic equipment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to continuing education and professional development.Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain organized in a busy environment.Experience in adult scope is preferred.Additional Qualifications: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in Australia.Cultural competency, capable of effectively working in diverse communities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
