APS4 Planner | Richmond | 12-month contract

I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency in Richmond to recruit for an APS4 Planner for a full-time temporary assignment for a 12 month contract, with a high likelihood of an extension.
Your new role
As an APS4 Planner, you will work within defined parameters to undertake moderately complex activities and tasks, providing operational and administrative support. Your role will be guided by established policies, principles, practices, and procedures to achieve outcomes that support the Agency's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse records using a range of policies, practice guidance, and legislation to make funding decisions and help reduce overspending.
* Communicate with participants and their representatives via telephone to identify current circumstances and spending patterns.
* Maintain high-quality record keeping, including competency with IT systems, adhering to process guidelines and standard operating procedures.
* Research and review decisions, managing moderately complex cases with the assistance of higher-level staff.
* Complete administrative and data entry tasks related to participants.
* Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to manage difficult conversations
* Competent IT and data analytical skills
* Time management and ability to prioritise and manage workload
* Work independently but also able to work effectively in a team
* Ability to manage multiple participant records at once
* Must be able to work from office during training period
* This role requires candidates to be an Australian Citizen.
* Successful candidates will need to complete 2x reference checks and an NDIS Worker Screening Check
