DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance.
* Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components.
* Assist with completion of required documentation.
* Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
* Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
* Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
Critical Competencies:
* Health and Safety Fundamentals: Champions proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety.
* Diagnostics Application: Troubleshoots issues following guided workflows, procedures, specialized equipment, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components.
* Electrical Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with low and/or high voltage.
* Electronic Service Tool Application: Identifies hardware and software tools required for a service event and utilizes the appropriate electronic tool set.
* Mechanical Knowledge: Applies mechanical principles and theories using appropriate tools and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.
* Product Repair and Maintenance: Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines.
* Service Documentation: Creates and verifies customer, equipment, and technical information.
* Technical Escalation: Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes available resources.
* Values differences: Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.
Qualifications:
* Full Time / 38 hours per week.
* Overtime as required.
* Domestic Relocation may be offered for the right candidate.
* Local Valid Drivers License (Preferred).
Experience:
* Apprentice Trained Engine Technician.
* Minimal level of workshop experience required.
* Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
