Job Description - Principal Mechanical Engineer (PER04T7)Company:WorleyPrimary LocationAUS-WA-PerthJobMechanicalScheduleFull-timeEmployment Type:Agency ContractorJob Level:ExperiencedJob PostingOct 25, 2024Duration of Contract12 MonthsAbout the jobWe're looking for aPrincipal Mechanical Engineerto join ourPerthteam.When you work for us, you get the chance to join nearly 50,000 people all driven by a common purpose – delivering a more sustainable world.We're excited about the challenges ahead.If you ask us, there's never been a more rewarding time to work in the energy, chemical and resources sectors.We offer a flexible approach to working, because our people are safer, healthier, and more productive when they can balance work with life.That's why we offer flexible and hybrid working options, so you can choose when, where and how you work.As aPrincipal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing discipline-specific engineering services to Worley and its clients, encompassing technical support within the Mechanical discipline for the hydrocarbons, energy, and chemicals industries to enable construction of various types of production plants and facilities.What you'll doDeliver discipline-specific engineering services that meet Worley, its client's, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Perform discipline-specific engineering services such as: prepare and review the production of mechanical package deliverables including datasheets, specifications, scope of supply, document/data requirement lists, technical bid evaluations, drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports; review, consolidate and co-ordinate interdisciplinary review of vendor data and drawings.Manage and expedite vendors to deliver packages in accordance with scope of supply and the project schedule.Liaise with vendors during completion of technical bid evaluation and clarification phase and then throughout package execution and delivery.Ensure the project scope is clear and identify changes to scope as required in line with project change management processes; participate in relevant meetings, follow required checking procedures.Communicate effectively within the discipline team, with clients and other project stakeholders.Technically evaluate vendor equipment supply proposals.Establish and maintain good working relationships within Worley, with its clients and other stakeholders.Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its client's requirements.Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions and ask for assistance if required.What you'll haveExcellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.Experience in rotating equipment package management, document review and consolidation.Relevant equipment includes single and multi-stage centrifugal pumps, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, blowers, positive displacement pumps and seal-less pumps.An excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the discipline, including: Brownfields and Greenfields Engineering, Equipment layout, read and interpret drawings, including general mechanical, piping and P&ID drawings.An understanding of the basic requirements of other disciplines and knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.Proven history of delivering multiple mechanical packages on major projects within the hydrocarbon or renewable energy industries.Capable in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and discipline-specific software Navisworks, Bluebeam/Adobe Suite.Highly effective people skills such as team, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups.A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status will be preferred.Why you should applyTake advantage of our global on-line learning platform!Competitive remuneration & employee benefits.Enjoy a varied & challenging role.Career development opportunities beyond this role.Moving forward togetherWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.So, our focus is on a values-inspired culture that unlocks brilliance through belonging, connection and innovation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
