What you will do:
Commencing late September, in this newly created position, you will work closely alongside the Cook, Park Manager and the Group Food and Beverage Manager to represent the core values of the NRMA in terms of professionalism, cleanliness and guest experience.
This is a full time permanent position, that will provide a mix of front of house coordination and kitchen based/cook and prep duties. The onsite Café, will initially be open for a 5 day split trade (AM and PM) service, Thursday to Monday.
Key responsibilities:
1. Train, develop and mentor Café team members
2. Prep and cook menu items as required
3. Control and positively influence ‘Cost of Sales’
4. Assist the Park Management team to operate within department budget
5. Collaborate with the Park Manager & Group Food & Beverage Manager to create strategic plans to develop the department
6. Assist in designing food and beverage menus in collaboration with Group Food & Beverage Manager, Cook and Operations Manager.
7. Maintain and develop positive relationships with suppliers
8. Comply with Liquor Licensing, Food Safety Plan and OHS requirement
Ultimately, and above all, create and maintain a positive, dynamic working culture that creates moments of unforgettable quality!
What you will bring:
9. Experience in managing or playing a lead role a Café, Restaurant, Bar and or Kitchen
10. Experience in cooking and the preparation of food items
11. Mixology and Barista skill base and knowledge
12. Outstanding guest service, communication and the ability to relate to and lead a team of all levels of experience
13. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Tourism/Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery or equivalent are an advantage (desirable)
14. Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (desirable)
