Position Overview:
As a Business Development Manager at Kite Magnetics, you will play a key role in market expansion and customer engagement, with a strong emphasis on strategic research, opportunity identification, and early-stage relationship development. The role requires an individual with a strong understanding of electromechanical systems, business development experience in B2B technology markets, and the ability to articulate the value of innovative materials to large-scale industrial clients.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and proactive professional who excels in research, communication, and customer engagement to bring new partners through the early phases of testing and validation towards signed long-term supply agreement contracts.

Reporting to: Head of Operations
Key Responsibilities:
* Market Research & Opportunity Identification
* Conduct thorough market research to identify new industry sectors and business opportunities.
* Analyse trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.
* Identify and evaluate potential customers in key target industries, including defence, automotive, aerospace, and industrial OEMs.
* Customer Engagement & Relationship Development
* Develop targeted outreach strategies to engage potential customers.
* Clearly explain Aeroperm technology and its customer-specific value proposition.
* Guide potential customers through the process of testing and validation, ensuring they understand the benefits of adopting Kite Magnetics' technology.
* Cultivate relationships with decision-makers within large OEMs and defence companies.
* Marketing & Sales Enablement
* Develop and refine marketing materials and technical sales content to support customer engagement.
* Work closely with internal teams to craft compelling case studies, whitepapers, and presentations.
* Attend industry events and conferences to represent Kite Magnetics and expand the company's network.
* Sales Pipeline Development & Deal Progression
* Manage and track a pipeline of potential customers, ensuring systematic movement from initial contact to test and validation stages.
* Work closely with internal engineering and operations teams to support customer trials and feedback loops.
* Develop commercial proposals and support the transition of validated customers into long-term supply agreements.
* Cross-functional Collaboration
* Collaborate with R&D and product development to align business development efforts with technological capabilities.
* Provide insights to the executive team on market trends, customer feedback, and strategic direction.
* Work with marketing teams to refine messaging and engagement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or market research within B2B technology sectors (materials engineering, defence, automotive, aerospace, or industrial OEMs preferred).
* Strong understanding of technical sales and experience engaging large corporate customers through early-stage product adoption cycles.
* Excellent research, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience managing early-stage sales pipelines, including validation and adoption processes.
* Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
