About the role
As a Support Worker for Sunnyfield, you will actively support and promote quality of life for people living with disability. You will provide a quality service which ensures a person-centred approach, focused on developing each person’s potential to participate as fully and independently as possible within their home and community.
This is a permanent part time position, working in house located in Kaleen. Shifts will include 4 x sleepovers and a day shift. Availability to work these shifts are a must.
Key Focus
Requires skills and experience in supporting people with disability in their daily life
Supporting clients to live independently in their own home, creating a positive environment to live in
To coordinate health appointments and assessments and manage the process to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered in meeting individuals health needs and communication between all individuals involved the person’s life
Integration in the community and active support
About you
You are passionate about making a difference! As a positive and energetic person, you want to contribute and provide exceptional support to our clients.
You also have:
Demonstrated experience in providing high quality support when undertaking daily operations within a service (e.g. household tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping, organising resources, providing transport), supporting people with disability with tasks of daily living and to access the community
Understanding of service provision for people with disability and person centred practices
Effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task
Effective interpersonal, written, and spoken communication skills
Basic computer proficiency and demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office and mobile devices and applications
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently, and as an effective team member.
