About the Role
We are currently looking for part time and casual staff who will work independently and be responsible for providing services to our elderly clients within our local community. You will assist clients with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, transport, shopping and community access. In this role, you will support our clients to remain independent in their own homes. You will make a difference by helping our clients to live the life they choose.
Work Availability: Available for at least 3 days per week – school hours available.
Minimum Requirements
* Demonstrated cleaning experience working in a similar role.
* Police Check suitable for aged care.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with consumers, families and co-workers.
* Ability to follow a set task list or care plan for each consumer.
* Knowledge of WHS procedures and safe work practices.
* Capacity to perform home care tasks satisfactorily and within guidelines e.g. Manual Handling Work Instructions.
* Understanding of boundaries required to maintain professional relationships with clients.
* Current driver licence with registered, comprehensively insured and reliable car.
* A reasonable level of physical fitness, health and resilience to fulfil the demands of the role.
* Evidence of having the seasonal Influenza Vaccination.
An hourly rate of $32.70 per hour will be provided, plus relevant allowances, loadings, and superannuation.
