About the Role: As a Casual Support Worker, you will provide essential in-home and community-based support to older adults through the CHSP. You will empower individuals to maintain their independence and well-being by assisting with daily living tasks, fostering community participation, and building capacity. Key Responsibilities: • Supporting Deaf and Hard of hearing individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care and domestic assistance. • Encouraging independent living skills and community participation. • Assisting with transport, mobility, and assistive technology use. • Monitoring and supporting mental and physical well-being. • Implementing personalised care plans to achieve participant goals. • Liaising with families, caregivers, and other service providers. • Providing support in home, social settings, and community access. • Building confidence in using technology/assistive devices. Locations: • Victoria, Tasmania, and Western Australia. • We welcome applications from regional areas, including Geraldton, Busselton, Bunbury, Albany, Margaret River, Kimberley, Pilbara regions (WA) and all regional areas in VIC. About You: • Understanding of our Deaf and hard of hearing culture and their diverse community needs. • Experience in aged care Support Workers (CHSP experience desirable). • Knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024 and industry best practices. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Auslan skills are preferred • Ability to work autonomously while being part of a supportive team. • A current driver’s license and access to a reliable, fully insured vehicle. • A Certificate III (or willingness to obtain) in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support.
