Our client, a large insurance agency, is requiring the services of a Technical Writer to join their team.
You will write content, user manuals, and publish operational manuals for new systems, amongst various other knowledge management tasks.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, review and publish user/operational manuals for new systems or business models to support our people deliver better outcomes for those we serve.
The manuals will support and enhance the consistent delivery of high-quality services across our schemes.You will be part of a forward-thinking team who are passionate about how our culture enables our people to thrive.
The Culture & Capability team drives our desired culture by enabling our leaders and people through aligned initiatives, programs and experiences that are ultimately part of their strategy.You will be accountable for creating and developing product and system manuals for internal and applicable external audiences.
You will provide advice on the best approach to content creation maintaining cultural alignment, best practice and applying continuous improvement.You will engage and consult with business leaders, frontline staff, and external parties/suppliers.
Creating strong partnerships will be critical to determine and deliver on the best solutions to drive long and short-term success aligned to our strategy.The role is a blend of contributing to strategic delivery through content development, needs analysis, design, planning and project management, stakeholder management, consulting, reporting and evaluation.Core Responsibilities:Role model our purpose and values.Proactively seek opportunities to simplify complex information to drive better learning outcomes.Procure, write, edit and publish technical content for user manuals to meet the needs of new business models and systems, e.g., claim management system FINEOS, in accordance with brand and design guidelines.Identify stakeholder learning needs and propose relevant, practical recommendations that support aspects of development, i.e., education, exposure and experience.Work collaboratively with SMEs (i.e., technology partners, frontline staff and people leaders) in the preparation of content to ensure manuals are user-friendly and consistent with operational user guides and learning solutions.Provide regular progress updates to line manager and project stream lead, and work with the project group to prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery.Ensure all reports and coordination tools provided to the business are user-friendly and provide relevant data.User manual content is aligned with operational guides and learning programs, and is clear and easy to use.Manuals are delivered within project timeframes and address feedback as part of the development process.Design and publish all resources and materials (including online and paper-based) to provide appropriate support to the business.To be considered for the role, click the 'apply' button or for more information about this and other opportunities, please contact Jennifer Bohm on or email: and quote the above job reference number.Paxus values diversity and welcomes applications from Indigenous Australians, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and people living with a disability.
