Our client, a premier provider of bulk liquid storage solutions across Australia and New Zealand, are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Engineering Projects Manager to oversee a major site conversion and other key projects.
Position Overview:
The Senior Engineering Projects Manager will lead the transformation of one of our client’s major sites, focusing on extensive asset modification, installation of new machinery parts and features, as well as the repair and replacement of existing equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring operations continue to meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of the site conversion project, including planning, execution, and completion.
2. Lead the installation of new parts and features to existing machinery, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
3. Coordinate repair and replacement work for existing machinery, maintaining operational integrity.
4. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
5. Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.
7. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
8. Identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines and budgets.
9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
Requirements:
10. Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
11. Minimum of years of experience in engineering project management and ideally a formal project management accreditation.
12. Strong understanding of design principals and standards for the storage and handling of bulk liquids including chemicals and hazardous products, with knowledge of tanks, pumping and piping systems, plus associated safety and environmental requirements.
13. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects.
14. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
15. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
16. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
17. Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
