Our client, public facility in Western NSW is seeking a skilled and experienced Health Service Manager to join their team.
As the Nurse Manager Grade 5, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical services within our facility.
* Position: Health Service Manager- Nurse Manager Grade 5
Location: MPS facility in Western NSW
* Full Time, 6months contract starting ASAP
* Application closing date: 19th of February 2024
Essential Criteria:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
Key Responsibilities:
o Lead and supervise staff to ensure safe and appropriate care that meets professional standards.
o Develop operational plans and monitor facility services to optimize service delivery within budget constraints.
o Manage workforce allocation and utilization to support safe, high-quality clinical services.
o Initiate and uphold policies and professional standards to ensure safe and evidence-based practice.
o Provide leadership to enable the delivery of high-quality clinical services through direction, support, and ongoing evaluation.
Key Challenges:
o Monitoring clinical services and activity to manage resources effectively.
o Building a positive professional culture in a changing environment.
o Maintaining effective communication and working relationships.
o Balancing budgetary, service, and human resource requirements.
Selection Criteria:
1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and relevant postgraduate qualifications in management.
2. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
3. Knowledge of contemporary professional and operational facility management.
4. Ability to facilitate professional standards and competence.
5. Skills in managing workforce requirements within industrial frameworks.
6. Highly developed IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to lead policy and practice development.
8. Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a senior management team.
