Through integrated stevedoring, infrastructure and logistics services, we connect South Australian businesses to each other and to the world.With over 700 employees across the State, we are a diverse and dynamic organisation, committed to delivering the highest quality port and supply chain services.Role OverviewThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of procurement practices across the Group in accordance with the Procurement and Supply Chain department strategy, with particular focus on the end-to-end lifecycle of categories and matters relating to the RFX process and systems. The role works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement processes are optimised, risks are mitigated, and value is maximised from supplier relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain due diligence and probity in procurement processes, and manage associated data with robust systems;Provide strategic advice to the procurement team and business on sourcing systems and best practices;Identify opportunities to consolidate procurement across business units using a risk-based approach;Manage sourcing activities, agreements, and procurement systems to ensure effective market engagement for goods, works, and services;Manage key procurement categories and negotiate with stakeholders to secure critical goods and services;Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, reporting, supplier reviews, and demand forecasting.About YouYour skills and experience will include:Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, category management and contract management;Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders;Demonstrated ability to manage contracts and sourcing activities;Experience utilising procurement / inventory management systems;Sound knowledge of contract law / commercial negotiation;Bachelor's degree in business, commerce or related discipline and/or relevant level of skill and knowledge gained through experience.BenefitsFlinders Port Holdings know that people are central to everything that we do.
