Assistant Directors, Finance and Procurement
The positions involve collaborating with the DTA's senior executive teams to provide financial insights and support timely delivery of key financial activities.
Expertise in financial analysis, government budgeting, and reporting is required to deliver high impact outcomes for the DTA.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, banking, treasury, credit card and travel management services.
* Provide leadership and direction to a small team to achieve positive outcomes and supervise staff within the finance team.
* Identify and implement process improvements, maintaining strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead taxation tasks including Business Activity Statements preparation and Fringe Benefits Tax Return process.
* Assist with annual financial statements and audit by the Australian National Audit Office.
Financial Operations Function:
* Manage the DTA's financial governance framework.
* Supervise staff within the finance, procurement and assurance team.
Management Accounting Responsibilities:
* Deliver management accounting responsibilities including modelled projections and analysis for the DTA's budget and forecasting processes.
* Provide finance business partnering activities including advice on accounting and finance issues.
