Ideal candidate should have 1- 2 years of experience in Indian Cuisine and perform the following duties Monitoring food items to ensure the food quality and freshness Working along with the head chef to prepare various special cuisines as per the requirements Preparing and cooking food on the menu and customising food items to meet special dietary requirements Discussing food preparation issues with the cooks,Managers and kitchen staff Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment Bake, roast, grill and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods, Seasoning food during cooking Ensuring that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times Working along with the head chef, Planning menus, considering food costs, special events, and occasion needs Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen Supervising Cooks and other kitchen staff work on tandoor when required Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedure Freeze and Preserve food items Operate and maintain all Kitchen equipment and reporting of malfunctioning Understanding and enforcing hygiene regulations.
