Overview
We are looking for an Employee Experience and Events Manager to join our HR and Marketing team in Sydney. In this diverse role, you will lead a passionate team that is responsible for delivering a great employee experience, bringing fun to our teams across our APAC offices, front desk management and providing services to our staff.
In this role, you will holistically oversee the employee experience and services team strategy for our APAC offices. This involves mentoring and supporting your team to create truly remarkable events from conception through to planning and execution. This role will assist in organising big (and small) events such as company parties, conferences, onsite events, and team outings. You will also support your team in identifying and organising opportunities to improve employee experience in Sydney, and collaborating with our offices globally to share ideas and information to ensure a great experience for SIG employees around the world.
In this role, you will:
Champion Employee Experience
1. Provide overarching and holistic direction to the employee experience and services team. This includes guiding and consulting on team strategy, planning and execution of events, front desk administration and amenities
2. Oversee budgeting and deliver reports on the impact and effectiveness of events and services offerings
3. Foster relationships with employees across all offices in order to meet their needs and preferences, and embed SIGs culture
4. Keep up-to-date with industry trends to introduce innovative concepts to the employee experience
5. Work with local and global benefits teams to identify the best benefits and perks for the Sydney and APAC offices
Manage & Deliver Engaging Employee Events
You will oversee & provide support to our Employee Experience Partner in managing these responsibilities:
6. Organize and implement SIG's signature events, ensuring they are impactful and reflective of our high standards and culture
7. Source and secure venues, coordinate transportation, and manage catering services to create memorable events
8. Work in partnership with internal stakeholders to define objectives, attendees, and budget, maintaining clear communication throughout the event planning process
9. Handle all event logistics, from initial planning and communication to registration, on-site coordination, and post-event follow-up
10. Attend events to manage all aspects of setup, execution, and breakdown; resolve any issues that arise, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants
11. Manage, design and plan SIG's events calendar
12. Create, manage, and review budgets for all events
Manage Front Desk, Services & Catering
You will oversee & provide support to our Front Desk & Employee Services team in managing these responsibilities:
13. Manage front desk duties including greeting guests, answering phones, mail room sorting and meeting room set up / pack down.
14. Manage facilities and amenities such as cleaning & bin services, or maintenance of coffee machines and water filters.
15. Coordinate and complete administrative tasks such as expenses, maintaining stationary supplies, booking couriers and new starter packs for employees.
16. Coordinate and support travel management & international visitors.
17. Manage smaller scale employee service and experience initiatives such as years of service recognition, staff gifting, team events and dinners.
18. Ensure the smooth operation of kitchen activities, upholding stringent standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and safety.
19. Meet the dietary preferences and needs of employees by providing a range of nutritious and enticing breakfast, lunch, and snack choices.
20. Actively seek and assess employee feedback to continually refine food selections
21. Conduct responsible stock management, including inventory oversight, procurement, and waste reduction.
22. Formulate and oversee the catering budget, balancing cost-efficiency with the maintenance of high-quality standards
23. Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and culinary experts to improve our dining options.
