Based at our Support Office in Malvern and reporting directly to the General Manager, this key position is responsible for overseeing all merchandise aspects of the Perri Cutten business.This is a unique opportunity to work with one of Australia’s leading womenswear brands, where you can combine your passion for fashion with your expertise in planning, forecasting, and driving results. As a vital member of the team, you will play a critical role in implementing and delivering the company’s merchandise strategies.Ideal for a Senior Planner who is ready to take the next step in their career, this role also offers the added benefit of being part of a larger retail company. This opens the possibility of exploring further opportunities within the organisation beyond the initial contract period.Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Range planning, in conjunction with the General ManagerAssortment planning for store locations – managing the phasing of deliveries and alignment with VM and marketing calendarsManage replenishment, size control and out of stocksManage finishing margin of merchandiseWork towards KPI targets by category, sell thru and FM%Manage markdowns, clearance, stock lifecycleOversee in season and post season analysisOversee the Stocktake processManage seasonal indent sell thruCreation and management of yearly buying planImplementation and management of stock allocation profiles for retail storesManaging the buy sheet and sales orders raisedForecasting and management of the Perri Cutten BSR merchandise programBuild merchandise plans to meet the growing demand of the businessCo-ordinate a weekly trade meeting to ensure weekly financial performance is communicated between key departmentsManage stock consolidation process to achieve high merchandise sell thru and optimize resultsEnsure all marketing events are supported with appropriate merchandise in storeManagement and leadership of one Merchandise AllocatorYou will have:Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in a retail merchandise management roleRelevant tertiary or related qualificationsProven leadership skills and a be strategic thinkerStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, at both a strategic and executional levelProven record in driving both retail and wholesale sales, and able to identify potential opportunities of generating new business/ accountsAbility to communicate effectively to all team members/employees at all levels, both written and verbalAbility to effectively manage challenging or pressured situationsA meticulous and organised work approach, with a strong ability to manage schedules and meet deadlinesProven ability to take ownership and demonstrate initiativeDemonstrated ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven nature of the industryWillingness to learn and growAt Austin Group we provide:A competitive salary packageFree on-site parking50% clothing discount off all of our brands (Perri Cutten, GAZMAN, Cable)A tailored induction program to ensure you have the best introduction to the businessThe opportunity to build your career with a successful, established and trusted Australian brandFantastic work/life balanceA friendly, motivating and rewarding team environment, where achievements are recognisedA highly supportive management teamOpportunities to attend fantastic social events through the yearAbout usAustin Group is an established Australian owned and family run fashion retailer and wholesaler that includes some of Australia’s most iconic menswear and womenswear brands.
