The Opportunity
Are you passionate about making unique library collections accessible to the world? Do you have a knack for leading innovative projects? We have the perfect opportunity for you!
As the Digitisation Lead, you'll spearhead the Library's digitisation service, ensuring our Special Collections are discoverable and accessible to a global audience. You'll manage the Neil Campbell Digitisation Centre and lead a dedicated team, driving strategic and operational activities to bring our collections to life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the Library’s digitisation framework and annual projects.
* Lead and develop a high-performing, collaborative team.
* Innovate and improve digitisation processes for maximum efficiency and quality.
* Ensure user-focussed services are adapted based on feedback and data.
* Conduct research and data analysis, reporting to key stakeholders.
* Manage risk, compliance, and quality assurance processes.
* Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
* Postgraduate qualifications in librarianship, information management, or a related field, or extensive relevant experience.
* Proven operational management skills and the ability to provide expert advice.
* Experience in staff management and team development.
* Expertise in digitisation technologies and innovative service delivery.
* Strong planning, analytical, and organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
