Are you detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability? NLC is looking for a dedicated Reporting & Compliance Officer to be part of a team that drives meaningful change.
About the Role
As the Reporting & Compliance Officer you will play a vital role in overseeing all compliance and reporting functions related to the NLC’s Indigenous Economic Stimulus Package which aims to support activities on homeland communities as well as investing in Indigenous businesses, jobs, and economic development in the NT. This position will ensure that the NLC meets our obligations in relation to funding requirements by handling application assessments, funding agreements review, managing compliance documents, preparing accurate routine and ad-hoc reports and maintaining up-to-date records in our systems.
What You Will Bring:
You will bring a strong background in compliance and reporting with an eye for detail and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. Your positive attitude and interpersonal skills will complement your ability to manage tasks. Your ability to articulate complex compliance matters clearly to various stakeholders will contribute to the successful completion of projects. You will also possess proven proficiency in standard office software and computerized financial systems, ensuring accurate data management.
In addition to this, you will have: -
* Diploma level qualification in an Accounting, Finance, Compliance, Quality Auditing or related field or relevant equivalent levels of experience.
* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role managing funding applications, compliance with grants and preparing reports using MS Office suites.
* Ability to monitor funding agreements to ensure funding outcomes are met in accordance with grant requirements.
* Experience using SAGE is highly desirable.

* A base salary of $79,903 per annum plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
* Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
* District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
* 5 weeks annual leave, leave loading, 18 days personal leave;
* Paid Christmas close down;
* Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,961
