The Job:
Working closely with a Director of the firm, and overseeing an Accountant, this role will work on various strategic matters for successful businesses, high net worth individuals and esteemed professionals and will provide tax and cash flow planning advice including regular monitoring and reviewing income tax, GST and BAS requirements. Managing relationships with existing clients you’ll attend to their commercial matters, prepare tax returns and financial statements, and undertake a variety of compliance and advisory responsibilities. Providing hands-on guidance and support to your direct report, you’ll oversee task allocation, workflow management and productivity and handle billing preparation and budget management, while also keeping your own knowledge up to date and in line with industry best practices.

Skills Required:
With a passion for business, you consistently go the ‘extra mile’ for clients and pride yourself on your level of service delivery. With excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and research skills, you will have strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge and be CPA or CA qualified with relevant tertiary qualifications. With proven experience in a similar role, you’ll be forward thinking, proactive, self motivated and organised. You’ll also have had experience mentoring others and enjoy this aspect of your work. Ideally also competent and accredited with Xero, you’ll be a quick learner and interested in driving business development efforts, promoting enhancements and efficiencies and cultivating internal and external networks.
