Maritime Constructions is a marine contractor uniquely capable of self-performing the full spectrum of specialised engineering disciplines to deliver complex marine infrastructure projects from design and construction through to commissioning. Projects include jetties, wharves, bulk loading facilities, dredging, reclamation, navigation aids, marinas, and underwater pipelines in Australia and internationally.
We are seeking a suitably experienced person to supervise and lead a marine construction crew specialising in wharf and jetty construction and refurbishments. The person we are seeking will ideally have a solid background in the construction industry.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Project Manager/Construction Manager, this role will require you to be primarily site based leading a team of up to 6 people at any one time.
It includes the following responsibilities:
* Plan, implement and supervise all daily operations on site with a “hands on” approach
* Strong focus on safe work culture and processes
* Manage and develop crews including rostering and on-site training
* Prioritise tasks and allocate resources accordingly
* Work to project timelines and targets
* Manage subcontractors
* Complete relevant site documentation and reports
* Conduct site workgroup meetings including SWMS, pre-start and toolbox
* Maintain the integrity of site
* Provision of site inductions for employees, contractors and visitors
* Manage and maintain allocated site vessels, plant and equipment
* Manage and control site expenditure
* Ensure that all risks and activities are managed in accordance with quality, WHS and environmental obligations
About you:
We are looking for someone who takes leadership seriously but knows how to have fun. You’re organized, hard-working, reliable and know how to get the best from your Crew. Your work ethic is second to none and you make safety your first priority. You will also:
* Reside in Adelaide or close regional area
* Take pride in your ability to lead by example
* Get stuck in to foster great team work
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
* Show a high level of respect to your Crew, our customers, and our natural environment
* Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances and priorities
* Pass a full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
Although Adelaide based, flexibility will be required as you must be able to relocate to project work sites both in SA regional areas and interstate locations as projects dictate.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
* Demonstrated computer literacy i.e. Word, Excel,
* Cert IV in Frontline Management will be viewed favorably
* A current Drivers License
* Construction White Card
* High Risk licenses will be viewed favorably but training is provided
