Part Time (16 hours per fortnight / negotiable)We are seeking an experienced and motivated person to undertake a Podiatrist Assistant role at Terang and Mortlake Health Service. As a Podiatrist Assistant, you will be responsible for providing foot hygiene, skin and nail care, and following safe work practices for direct client care under the guidance of an AHPRA registered Podiatrist.Your responsibilities will be to:Provide a high standard of care to our clients while working with or under the direction of an AHPRA registered podiatrist.Perform basic foot hygiene and assist with podiatric procedures in line with your Diploma in nursing or that meets our clinical framework, expected targets, and outcomes.Apply padding and cushioning as prescribed or assist with support and advice to clients in a selection of footwear following the direction of an AHPRA registered podiatrist.Other clinical responsibilities may include preparing for basic foot care, establishing a safe setting for treatment following TMHS policies, gathering equipment for the podiatrist, and assisting with infection control procedures as required.Support client retention and relationships, ensuring effective communication with clients and documenting patient information and assisting with appropriate documentation.To be successful in this role you will have:Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or Diploma of Nursing.High level of communication and customer service skills.A passion for patient care and achieving high-quality clinical outcomes.Ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.Knowledge of infection control procedures.Strong written and verbal communication skills.How to apply & further informationTo access a Position Description, please call Terang & Mortlake Health Service on 5592 0222.
