This role encompasses public enquiries, technical investigations, providing expert advice, and coordinating infrastructure solutions to ensure the safety, functionality, and sustainability of road corridor assets.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed technical investigations and provide advice on all road corridor management matters, which include road pavements, stormwater drainage, footway areas, vegetation management, to name a few.Support renewal and rehabilitation programs through road corridor asset investigations.Manage applications and ensure compliance for all activities within the road corridor, including public utilities, traffic management, private infrastructure, and heavy vehicle permits.Respond to public requests and community enquiries about operations within the road corridor, such as property access, street lighting, traffic safety, public transport, school safety, and street/road addressing.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to legislative, safety, operational matters, and environmental requirements.About YouWe are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong expertise in working directly with the public, an excellent understanding of Road Corridor assets, general road and drainage maintenance and construction practices, and confidence in dealing with compliance management.To be successful in this role, you must have the following:Confidence in engaging with members of the public.Demonstrated knowledge in roads and drainage maintenance and construction practices.Sound understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and compliance standards.Proven expertise in investigating and reporting on all road corridor management matters.Experience in planning, organising, and controlling resources, including preparing documentation for quotations and purchasing.The ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis.High-level computer skills with industry-standard software.A current C Class driver’s licence.It would be advantageous if you also have:Previous experience working in Local Government.The Selection ProcessWe encourage candidates to advise us of any accommodations they may need to ensure a smooth and inclusive experience throughout our recruitment process and work environment.
