About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Control & Instrument Technician to join our engineering team in our Townsville operations.
Preference will be given to candidates with post-trade qualifications and proven experience in SCADA, PLC, and Telemetry projects.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to hold Electrical Trade Qualifications and must have the right to work in Australia.
Candidate Profile: Supported by our team of engineering professionals, and coupled with your strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, your responsibilities will include:
5+ years of hands-on industrial experienceDesign, development, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation projects.Electrical installation works and drawing mark-ups.Fault finding to identify and advise on potential improvements & solutions on customer sites.Current NSW Electrical Supervisors Certificate.Instrumentation or Engineering Diploma qualifications.Strong working knowledge of Schneider and Rockwell PLCs, Brodersen and Kingfisher RTUsHART experienceAbility to work unsupervised on customer sites.A customer-focused, team-oriented, and results-driven work ethic.Ability to carry out a safety risk assessment and complete JSEA, SWMS, and Take 5 documentation.Ability to work independently to organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.SCADA experience.Why you should consider SGA for your future career: At SGA, we are committed to fostering a culture that empowers our people, encourages sustainability, and promotes teamwork and work-life balance.
