Position: General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)

Indie Education is an Independent School and Registered Training Organisation that provides education and training to support young adults to re-engage back into education. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Executive Manager to oversee North Qld. This role will require regular travel to other States.
The position will be based at a new educational site in Cairns, Qld.
Responsibilities:
* Leading, managing, guiding, and motivating staff while overseeing various functions, projects, and educational programs across designated locations throughout Australia.
* Actively participating alongside teams, focusing on training, informing, and contributing to the development and implementation of strategies that align with the company's vision and mission.
* Cultivating a positive work culture, fostering staff growth, and maintaining high levels of management excellence within your portfolio.
* Commitment to continuous improvement, compliance, efficient service delivery, and demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills, outstanding negotiation abilities, and effective communication skills.
Skills and Experience:
* Knowledge and/or experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector is preferable.
* Experience in ongoing evaluations of business systems and processes for improved efficiencies and issue resolution.
* Ability to drive strategic, policy, and procedural decisions for improved quality compliance.
* Experience in applying goals and objectives for teams to achieve set targets.
* Ability to produce documented plans and proposals.
* Outstanding presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including relationship building with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Understanding of human resource management principles.
* Experience in preparing and monitoring annual business development plans, strategic plans, and implementing approved strategies.
* Relevant and proven experience in an Executive position(s) with a national approach will be highly regarded.
Qualifications:
* A Diploma or higher in Education, Business, or Management.
Requirements:
* National Police Checks.
* Working with Children’s Check.
