Reporting to the Airport Training Standards Manager, this position will oversee airport stakeholder compliance with WSA’s Airside policies, procedures and training requirements. This includes ensuring personnel meet strict standards for the issuance of an Authority to Drive Airside, administering the vehicle and equipment registration program.
The role will also provide training and assessment on WSA’s common user equipment including GPU’s, PCA’s and Aerobridges, conducting operational observations of airport stakeholder activities on ramp and use of airport infrastructure such as aerobridges and fixed ground services.
Key responsibilities:
* Administer theoretical and practical testing of applicants for authority to drive airside permits.
* Review and process applications to register vehicles and equipment airside, including review of all required supporting documentation such as insurance, indemnity and supporting evidence of a requirement to operate airside.
* Monitor training compliance and process associated access upgrades to access controlled common user equipment such as GPU’s, PCA’s and GPU’s.
* Deliver face-to-face Aerobridge, GPU, PCA and VDGS train the trainer courses and where required operator training.
* Conduct operational observations of Airside Stakeholder’s compliance with WSA’s policies and procedures.
* Preparation of accounts for monthly billing purposes.
* Assist in preparation of reporting requirements including training performance and findings resulting from operational audits.
* Support operational response in the event of a declared Airport Emergency or other Business Continuity requirements.
* Support in implementing continuous improvement initiatives/projects rolled out by WSA.
About You:
* Previous experience in airport, airline or ground handling operations, preferably with a ramp operations focus.
* Workplace Training and Assessment experience, Cert IV in Training & Assessment highly desirable.
* Lead Auditor Qualification is also desirable.
* Experience in development of performance indicators, analysis, and reports.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
* Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate desirable.
* Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
* NSW Drivers License and ability to obtain an Airside Driving Authority.
* Senior First Aid Certificate.
