THE ROLE Reporting to the Manager and Principal Advisor, Office of the Regulator, the Senior Human Resources Advisor is the key point of contact for all human resource matters at the Social Services Regulator (SSR).
As a senior member of the team, the Senior Human Resources Advisor will work closely with and provide specialist advice to the SSR's Executive and Management Teams and other internal stakeholders on the full suite of human resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, workforce planning, employee wellbeing, attraction and retention, OH&S and payroll.
The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for the maintenance, development and implementation of the Social Services Regulator's human resources policies and processes, and plays a key role in supporting the strategic and operational needs of the organisation through the promotion of good and contemporary human resource management practices.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE * Support the SSR's People and Culture functions including end to end recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, workforce planning, employee wellbeing, attraction and retention, OH&S and payroll, and associated administrative tasks.
* Provide coaching and expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters in line with the Victoria Public Sector Enterprise Agreement 2024 and relevant state and federal legislation.
* Provide expert advice and support to managers and executives in the conduct of investigations, disciplinary proceedings, return to work and performance management processes, ensuring compliance with relevant industrial instruments and current industry best practice.
* Develop and implement human resource policies that are aligned with the Social Servies Regulator's objectives and meet legislative requirements.
* Streamline human resources processes to ensure best practice that support the development of people strategies and meet organisational priorities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.
* Report to the Social Services Regulator Leadership Team on human resources and corporate policy issues and solutions.
* Liaise with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing to ensure the provision of services is in accordance with the Social Services Regulator's Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and other Victorian Government standards.
* Support the Social Services Regulator in implementing organisational culture change initiatives and increasing employee engagement across the entity.
* Support the SSR's OH&S function, including participation in the SSR's OH&S Consultative Committee meetings.
* Contribute to and lead relevant human resources projects and processes as necessary.
