**Job Summary:**
As Timekeeper, you will be responsible for verification of daily attendance, review, and corroboration of daily time records, examining for discrepancies between daily timesheet hours and badge scanning reports. You will participate in training and development of future timekeeping staff, provide gap coverage to other FIFO timekeeping staff, and help maintain the unit's standard of performance.
The position requires good communication, time management skills, intermediate level spreadsheet analysis, and basic to intermediate experience with payroll/timekeeping systems.
**Major Responsibilities:**
Verify daily attendance and time records Ensure daily/weekly crew timesheet data loads into SAP payroll system Communicate daily with internal customers regarding SAP timekeeping and payroll system operations, daily time charges, and payroll calculation queries Review discrepancies between daily timesheet hours and badge scanning reports Ensure absentees are properly coded, and hours maintained in accordance with governing labour agreements Verify time payouts to terminated employees Other responsibilities as designated.
**Education and Experience Requirements:**
A University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
Experience with timekeeping and payroll processes, procedures, and technology Ability to maintain confidentiality with a strong ethical behaviour in workplace practices Customer-service oriented with a demonstrated professional demeanour and communication style Excellent verbal and written communication skills
**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $150,000 per annum depending on experience
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
