Sektor specialises in delivering innovative and efficient technologies for the retail, networking, security, healthcare, modern workplace, mobility, cyber security and payments markets. Sektor requires at least one additional Finance and Administration Accountant. This role is for an experienced motivated Accountant with a minimum of two years’ stable experience preferred. The Finance and Administration Accountant will support the accounting department by performing various financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
Tasks:
· Financial Reporting: Assist the Financial Accountant and Financial controller to prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
· General Ledger Management: Assist the Financial Accountant and Financial controller maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights and variance analysis.
· Tax Compliance: Assist the Financial Accountant to prepare and file GST tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller with analysing data for the preparation of the FBT returns.
· Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
· Fixed assets register: Maintain the Fixed Assets Register by entering assets, recording disposals and reconciling the asset listing to the general ledger. Identify and resolve any variances that result on a timely basis.
· Balance sheet reconciliations: Assist the Financial Accountant with the preparation of reconciliations in relation to the balances recorded in Sektor’s Statement of Financial Position.
· Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
· Policy Development: Help develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
· Manage and process Sektor’s financial obligations to its vendors and suppliers. Working closely with Sektor’s Treasury Department to ensure Sektor financial process is accurate and on time.
· Inwards Goods (IWG) costing.
· Accounts Payable: checking, processing, reporting.
· Administration and review of customer accounts.
Other requirements include:
· Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with general accounting principles

Package:
· Full-time;
· 38 hours per week (additional hours as per contract and as reasonably required);
· Salary is $77,265 pa;
