As a rover, your experience, skills and knowledge will enable you to provide shift coverage at any of Activ's accommodation homes in Geraldton. You will have a set roster pattern, however each shift could be at a different home, providing you with lots of variety as you support customers with varied needs. In addition to your rostered hours, you will have the opportunity to pick up more work when available, if desired.As a Support Worker with Activ, you will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. Join us in making a positive difference in the lives of those with disabilities!Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must be qualified in Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) or Cert IV in Disability (CHC43115 or CHC43121).A typical day in the role may look like:Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve themJoining customers in recreational activities such as swimming, dancing, bingo, horseback riding, going to the gym, bowling and moreSupporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointmentsEnsuring positive behaviour support plans are followedAdministration duties and mandatory daily reportsThe ideal candidate:Candidates for overnight sleep rosters must be qualified in Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) or Cert IV in Disability (CHC43115 or CHC43121)Be passionate about providing service and assistance and helping others live their best livesHave willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)Have a valid driver’s licence and be willing to use their comprehensively insured private vehicle, if required, to transport our customers to activities or appointmentsWe are Activ.
