The role
As part of the Test Team, the Senior Automation Performance Analyst will enhance the quality and usability of A&G’s systems through performance testing. This role involves defining, scripting, executing, and maintaining performance tests to ensure application changes meet specifications and customer journey requirements.
Collaborating closely with the testing team, developers, and DevOps engineers, the analyst will improve load and performance testing capabilities through script execution, environment setup, and data generation.
* Develop and maintain performance test strategies and documentation.
* Identify value-add opportunities for performance testing.
* Create and execute performance and load test cases.
* Ensure tests are reusable, scalable, and maintainable.
* Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated quality feedback.
* Enhance performance testing environments in collaboration with teams.
* Produce transparent test reports on defects and improvements.
* Share best practices in the Test Community of Practice.
* Provide on-call and out-of-hours deployment support.
What experience you’ll bring
* Min 3 years as a Performance Test Analyst
* Experience building / extending performance test frameworks
* Experience in capacity and NFR (Non-Functional Requirements) modeling
* Demonstrated experience using scripting language such as Java, Javascript, C#, python
* Demonstrated experience with jMeter, BlazeMeter, LoadRunner, K6 and other toolsets.
* Experience with Bitbucket, Bamboo, Gitlab and CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience with AWS cloud services, including Containers, EC2, RDS, Kubernetes, Docker and Lambda functions.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk, Dynatrace
* Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring.
* Demonstrated sound skills in problem solving, time and resource management, and have the ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
* Pragmatic and resilient to change.
* Demonstrated sound communication skills, including with technical staff, end-users and management.
* A degree relating to the Information Technology field from a recognised tertiary institution or other qualifications.
Desirable: Performance Testing presentations to leadership and executives as needed

This role is available at any of our Brisbane and Sunshine Coast locations providing flexibility to choose the office that suits you.
