This position is responsible for steering the company's financial strategy, managing large-scale financing, navigating complex regulatory landscapes, and ensuring the company's financial health and growth amidst high market uncertainty.This role is a unique opportunity to be at the helm of financial operations in a dynamic, evolving market, shaping the future of infrastructure development.Reporting to the CEO, your duties will include:Capital Management and Financing:Lead efforts in securing funding for capital-intensive projects.Oversee the structuring of financing arrangements to support large-scale infrastructure projects.Long-term Investment and Financial Planning in Uncertain Markets:Lead financial forecasting, scenario planning and budgeting to support business goals in a rapidly evolving industry with limited historical data.Support the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to make informed, strategic financial decisions under high market uncertainty.Engage in strategic financial planning for projects with extended timelines and delayed ROI.Risk Management and Mitigation:Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies for financial, operational, and project-related risks.Adapt to evolving risks in an immature market and create mitigation strategies.Financial Reporting and Compliance:Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.Support the Senior Leadership Team with tools to enable them to manage their revenues, costs and capex.Oversee audit processes and maintain relationships with external auditors.Oversee procurement and contract negotiations to optimize expenses.Regulatory Compliance and Government Relations:Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements in infrastructure development.System Development and Process Scaling:Create and scale financial systems and processes suitable for managing large infrastructure projects.Establish robust financial controls and reporting systems to manage extensive capital expenditure.Leadership and Team Management:Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team.The PersonWe seek a CFO who is not only a financial expert but also a strategic thinker, capable of guiding the company through this critical growth phase in a challenging industry landscape.
