Infrastructure ServicesPermanent Full TimeHervey BayIFA 6 | $110,138 per annum plus superannuation+ Private use vehicle+ 4% salary increase effective 21 April 2025 (EB Agreement)+ 5 days recreational leaveAt Fraser Coast Regional Council our people are our most important asset and central to achieving our vision to Build Better Communities.About The RoleWe are looking for a Works Delivery Coordinator to oversee major work programs and infrastructure delivery for Council’s roads, bridges, and drainage infrastructure.You’ll be a resilient, progressive, and collaborative leader with a passion for driving results in a fast-paced environment and excel at coordinating large-scale operations and managing diverse teams.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and control major work programs in the delivery of Council’s roads, bridges, and drainage infrastructure, ensuring quality, efficiency, and budget control.Manage day labour and operational resources for Council, ensuring smooth operations and optimal resource allocation.Oversee a team of 56 staff, including 7 direct reports.Have direct responsibility for the internal delivery of $10 million/year in maintenance work and a $5 million/year capital program.Supervise and ensure quality and budget control of works undertaken by the Infrastructure Services Directorate, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.Provide ongoing advice to the Manager of Works Operations in the delivery of work programs.Please click here to view a full Position Description.To Be Successful, You’ll NeedDemonstrated knowledge of civil construction and maintenance issues.Demonstrated experience in the organisation of work schedules, rosters, task allocation and plant and equipment ordering for specific jobs and multiple crews.Demonstrated ability to motivate and coach staff and address performance issues.An understanding of the supervisory responsibilities in relation to workplace safety.Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and budget control and programs.Well-developed computer skills with particular focus on Office Microsoft Suite and other relevant software.Strong communication skills; written, interpersonal, and verbal.Qualifications & LicencesDiploma (or higher) in Project Management, Frontline Management and or Engineering or significant industry experience commensurate to the position.Current QLD Class C Driver's Licence.What’s Nice To HaveLocal Government experience.Benefits Of Working With CouncilCommitted to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge and talent.
