ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is a well-established, homegrown café with multiple drive through locations across South East Queensland, is seeking a dedicated Café Manager for one of their newest locations. The ideal candidate will be a strong barista with a commitment to actively supporting the team on the floor during peak hours, ensuring top-tier service and efficient operations. This position is integral to fostering a supportive team culture while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
ROLE DESCRIPTION As Café Manager, you will lead and inspire your team, optimizing staffing for efficiency and quality service. Alongside your management duties, you'll contribute on the floor, crafting beverages, taking orders, preparing food and overseeing daily operations. Your role will also include managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring equipment maintenance, all while supporting team development and cohesion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment.Process and log customer orders, including handling the POS system accurately.Operate the drive-through system efficiently, delivering prompt, courteous service.Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and assist in food prep and serving.Prepare a wide range of beverages, including hot and cold coffee drinks.Oversee team rosters, ensuring coverage and addressing scheduling needs.Monitor kitchen supplies and inventory levels, arranging orders as necessary.Document and report shift-related issues and follow up on maintenance needs.Provide training and performance reviews for team members, supporting their development.Ensure health and safety compliance, fostering a safe environment for all. COMPENSATION This role aligns with the Level 5 Classification under the Food and Beverage stream of the Restaurant Industry Award 2020. Annual Compensation is negotiated based on agreed rostered hours, with additional perks such as discounts on food and beverages.
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 20kg.Strong English proficiency and customer service skills.Extensive barista experience and a background in hospitality.Experience with drive through communications and ordering.Minimum of 1 year in a management or team leadership role.Current RSA.
