We looking for a switched-on, experienced Leading Hand to come on board our growing company.
We need a full-time, hands-on, highly organised problem solver who can handle the ongoing and new projects for the company.

As a Leading Hand, you will be reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for playing a key role in the construction of commercial and residential projects.
This role requires flexibility, as you will occasionally step in to supervise site activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
This role will involve the following duties but not limited to: - Leading hand refers to the role to supervise a team, whilst maintaining the standards of the company.
- Study and understand drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedure.
- Install FFE components, such as handles, kitchen and toilet fixtures, windows, and mesh.
- Assist in erecting, leveling, and installing building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.
- Able to install joinery items to a good standard (kitchens, storage units, doors, skirting).
- To be able to operate tools, machines and other equipment and assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
- Review and comprehending construction specifications and design documentation.
- Crafts furniture with fine details work and/ or utmost sturdiness and quality.
- Construct structural frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and follow project plans.
- Supervise and compile on-site WHS documentation (Prestart, Toolbox talks, SDS, SWMs and task observations).
- Ensure quality assurance and implement process improvements within project to maintain excellence in project activity outcomes.
Skill and Experience: · At least a AQF Certificate III in Carpentry · Significant hands-on experience in the trade or industry (2+ years).
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard of finish.
· Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and ensure quality standards are met.
· Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively, providing guidance and support.
· Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings is an asset.
