Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service CQHHS Podiatry aims to deliver evidence-based high-risk foot services to consumers of Queensland Health who have complex chronic disease, acute foot conditions, and lower limb musculoskeletal conditions associated with hospitalisation. This will include, but is not limited to those with amputation, foot ulceration, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease, and gross foot deformity.
The podiatrist role will involve representation and development of both outpatient and inpatient podiatry services with outreach to various sites across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service CQHHS including Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Mt Morgan, Biloela, and Woorabinda. Prioritisation of renal dialysis and orthopaedic patients is in addition to this role to reduce the number of non-traumatic lower limb amputations and hospital burden associated with foot and lower limb disease to support and promote good foot health practices.
About the role:
This position reports operationally and professionally to the Director Podiatry and Exercise Physiology to deliver podiatric services to clients with high-risk foot conditions in accordance with professional, ethical, and evidence-based principles through close collaboration with orthopaedics, renal and nursing streams.
About you:
* Hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Podiatry.
* Hold a current registered as a Podiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $136,713 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $39.86 - $60.43 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
