Liaise with the department heads/supervisors for replacement of any absent staffEnsure all public areas, outlets and the Front Office areas are clean at all timesConduct performance appraisals on Night Audit staffMonitor occupancy to obtain maximum yieldMaintain guest history and use for all bookings as appropriate.Convey all complaints and apparent problems to the appropriate department headCarry out a complete handover to the next Assistant Manager.Issue floats and keys in accordance with SOP’sEnsure all basic Liquor Licensing Laws are adhered toCheck all areas for general maintenance requirementsApply full knowledge of fire procedures and take control in the case of fireUphold the credit policy of the hotel Handle guest queries regarding credit matters and report any discrepanciesAttend and participate in meeting and training sessions provided, when requestedMaintain responsibility for after hours access to any closed areasMaintain and enforce instructions for consistent and timely back up of the computer networkMaintain control and supervision of all audit functionsAny other duties or projects as requested by the ManagerQualificationsKnowledge and ExperienceRelevant Night Audit experience in the hotel industry.Hospitality qualifications preferredStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera.CompetenciesAn ability to work a variety of shifts.An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments.Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry.Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and inspire teams.Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.Ability to think strategically and plan on a mid to long term scale.Strong personal integrity.Entrepreneurial spirit with drive, ambition and high level of energy.Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members.Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.Additional InformationYou are the reason why we are a successful Hotel company.
