Your Opportunity
As an Senior Solution Architect, you will join a growing team of architecture and solution design professionals and will drive the technology decisions to enable KPMG to put best of breed products in the market. This will involve owning and stewarding new solutions for the firm from feasibility through to deployment and its ongoing operations.
The role includes:
* Leading complex solution architecture projects from conception to implementation, consulting with stakeholders to capture requirements and translating them into viable solutions along with project sizing and estimation.
* Spearheading definition of CTG’s technical strategies for domains you are responsible for – working closely with other CTG colleagues (including other Product Managers, Domain Architects, Engineering Leads, Data Scientists and Enterprise Architects) to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
* Creating solution designs that explain the problem, the architecture, how the system works, key considerations for security and data privacy and how it will be delivered.
* As part of our emerging AI practice, you will contribute to our ongoing success in this exciting space. Working with AI architects and technical leads in Australia and across our global member firms, you will contribute to the architecure of robust, scalable AI-based solutions, ensuring they are aligned to our Trusted AI framework.
* Conduct research into appropriate technologies and patterns to find the best technology solution among all possible to solve the business problem.
* Establishing and providing ongoing maintenance of the CTG Architecture Repository, including contributing to strategic architecture roadmaps, design patterns and domain architectures.
* Participating in architecture governance boards, setting architectural direction, and collaborating with R&D teams to prototype innovative solutions.
* Leading and mentoring newer members of the SA Chapter, through participation in architecture review board and team showcase sessions, providing guidance and feedback to fellow architects on their designs.
* Mentoring engineering teams on best practises, ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints and guiding implementation efforts.

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Industry-recognised certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
* Be able to build relationships quickly with many different stakeholders. You are articulate and intelligent, with solid communication skills.
* Proven ability to work autonomously, dealing with conflicting priorities and monitoring own workload in a timely and effective manner.
* Proficient in designing scalable, high-performance, and resilient architectures. Should be familiar with both traditional and modern architecture paradigms such as microservices, serverless computing, and event-driven architectures.
* Deep understanding of various technologies including cloud services (from one or more of the major providers - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), databases, networking, enterprise software, and development frameworks.
* Ability to integrate disparate systems and ensure seamless communication between different technology stacks.
* Excellent understanding of APIs, API-design, and back-end performance considerations.
* Displays strong leadership and is adept at managing cross-functional, diverse teams with a focus on promoting innovation and best practises within our solutions.
* Can articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, facilitating clear communication between technical experts and business stakeholders.
* Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and related technologies.
