About the role
The Test Manager role requires a resourceful, innovative, and critical thinking across enterprise scale environments and ability to provide testing leadership across multiple programs in a highly regulated and complex environment. A strong background in Superannuation and Insurance systems will be highly advantageous.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
* Manage and accountable for a Portfolio of programs/projects to ensure successful delivery and taking Business on the journey.
* Must be able to formulate an effective, practical but robust Test Strategy by coordinating with all relevant stakeholders considering a highly complex financial services environment.
* Ensure programmes and projects define clear roles and responsibilities for Testing and have access to best practice guidance, methods, templates, and tools.
* Review for efficiencies in process and tools to improve overall quality and efficiency.
Test Management & Project Involvement
* Manage the Full E2E testing lifecycle of assigned projects in a multi-vendor, multi-application and distributed delivery environment.
* Review program/project level business requirements, technical specifications, end-to-end Business Processes, and solution design documents, highlighting any gaps or potential improvements.
* Governance and management of vendor achievement against Service Level Agreements, measuring performance against established metrics, and evaluating third-party operations for quality and adherence to agreed schedule and budget requirements.
* Review reports produced by the test vendor, provide guidance, evolve processes, and actively participate in resolving issues/roadblocks to testing progress.
* Defect Management activities, including conducting defect triage meetings with business, technology, and interface partners, and agreeing on workarounds for outstanding defects and resolutions.
* Support the project team in leveraging testing tools to improve team productivity and effectiveness (Test Management, Defect Management, Test Automation, Performance Testing).
* Participate in the planning of UAT and PVT for Programs and Projects (including approach and scope of PVT).
* Identify required metrics and work to have them in place as an inherent goal for the test team.
* Ensure automated testing happens as part of the build process.
Team Leadership & Culture
* Build a high performing team of Testing professionals to deliver a value-add service to the business across all geographies within MUFG RS.
* Coach, lead and mentor the team of Testers, delegating work and projects effectively with a focus on developing and enhancing collective skillsets.
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where Testers are empowered to innovate and drive results aligned with both local and global business objectives.
* Facilitate the development, implementation, and adherence to testing department standards in partnership with other test team leadership.
* Look for and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Governance & Risk
* Identify areas of improvement within the program and establish a continuous improvement process.
* Strong due diligence and analysis skills towards test solution designing.
* Governance of Quality Assurance across the full spectrum of the SDLC, including Unit, ST, SIT, E2E, Regression, Business (UAT), PVT.
* Ability to assess risks from a business perspective, identifying and recording specific risks, and communicating them to the appropriate project stakeholders and business management team.
* Review and sign-off of testing artefacts (Test Plans and Test Summary Reports), liaising with respective project team members (Development teams, Test teams, Business, Solution Designers, Architects, IT, PMs, and other stakeholders).
* Promote a risk management culture, and effectively limit risk exposure to MUFG Corporate Markets with strategies to mitigate risk.
About You and Your skills
* Minimum 10+ years in a test management position in complex E2E integrated financial platform.
* Demonstrate strong thought leadership, strategic thinking and effective communication in driving and uplifting Quality through all stages of the SDLC – and within the Test practice.
* Extensive experience in managing a multi-vendor engagement and in building process, practices and test team in distributed delivery model.
* Strong E2E test management background within a fast-paced business and in complex IT application landscape.
* Hands on experience in improving Testing & QA capabilities with a strong awareness of industry developments and best practice and managing automation testers and teams in multiple locations, time zones and diverse backgrounds.
* Experience with contemporary CRM and BPM platforms e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Pegasystems or similar.
* Experience in CI/CD pipeline and tools such as Azure Devops and in API testing, Mobile, App testing highly desirable.
* Working experience working in an Agile scrum environment, expert in JIRA and Confluence or similar tools.
* Capable of managing high pressure, competing demands and short timelines, with the willingness to be flexible.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong commercial / business acumen.
* Demonstrated experience managing the mobilization and operation of Testing services.
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline.
* Certification in Domain/Testing/Delivery methodology like ISTQB, Agile, ASFA highly desirable.
