We are looking for an Executive Director to drive our mission forward, ensuring financial sustainability while leading a compassionate, values-driven team.
Reporting to the Board and leading a team of 6, the purpose of the role is to ensure financial viability to provide funding and practical support for palliative patients and their families through Mary Potter Hospice, Calvary Cancer Services and Calvary Health Care SA.
As Executive Director you will: Ensure financial stability through sound strategic planning and positive leadership enabling the organisation to meet ongoing palliative and end of life care and support needs Build and maintain revenue sources Develop fundraising opportunities and strategic partnerships Represent the organisation's values to existing and potential stakeholders Manage organisational risk and compliance Provide the Board with financial reporting and other business data for strategic decision making and governance You will demonstrate your success through: Fundraising & Revenue Growth – Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, ensuring financial stability for the Foundation's programs.
Strategic Leadership – Guide the organisation through strategic planning, working closely with the Board and stakeholders.
Marketing & Communications – Enhance brand awareness, oversee marketing strategies, and represent the Foundation in media and public engagements.
Team & Culture Leadership – Inspire and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a positive, creative, and ethical workplace culture.
Community Engagement & Partnerships – Strengthen relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and healthcare partners to expand our impact.
Mission Delivery – Ensure that palliative and end-of-life care support programs are delivered with empathy, consistency, and excellence About You You are an experienced fundraising leader with a strong background in executive or senior fundraising roles within the not-for-profit sector and a qualification in management or marketing.
Your referees report that you are strategic and financially savvy due to your understanding of donor-centric fundraising principles, financial management, and corporate partnerships, demonstrated by ensuring a sustainable revenue stream.
People describe you as an inspirational communicator as your exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills enable you to engage donors, write compelling proposals, and present with confidence.
You are relationship driven as you excel at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, from donors to corporate partners, the Board, and the broader community.
With experience in marketing, communications, and public relations, you are a brand builder, knowing how to amplify our impact and connect with supporters.
Your past team members confirm that you are an empathetic an ethical leader.

Importantly, you are organised and results focused, a highly competent multi-tasker, capable of managing multiple projects, leading a team, and driving results in a dynamic environment.
