Community Acute and Non-Acute Services (CANAS) is a multidisciplinary team focused on improving healthcare quality and safety through evidence-based practices. Its main goal is to provide optimal patient care by avoiding hospital admissions or facilitating early discharges. CANAS offers a range of services, including Hospital in the Home (HITH) and various programs for post-acute, residential, palliative, and complex care. Many of these services operate seven days a week, supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.
About the role:
The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides an early leadership role within the career pathway for nursing within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) and is responsible for a specific patient population and can function in more complex situations while providing support and direction to the Registered Nurse (RN), Enrolled Nurse (EN) and other non-registered nursing personnel. The CN follows defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe, practice and services and workplaces.
About you:
Registered Nursing degree or equivalentCurrent membership with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).While not mandatory a relevant qualification would be well regarded What we offer:
